Cenas de violência no King's Casino numa sala cheia de jogadores

Rozvadov, mais precisamente o King's Casino na Rep. Checa, já tem festivais a decorrer, com o último fim-de-semana a atrair 2.509 entradas no Balkan Poker Circuit Main Event, torneio de €175 de inscrição, incluindo os €25 de rake, que premiou €56.162 e um ticket €10k WSOPE ME ao campeão alemão Raik Bernhardt. Entre as mensagens de parabéns pelo sucesso no tamanho do field, com os €200k GTD a serem esmagados pelos €357.352 acumulados, há uma situação problemática a noticiar, apesar dos esforços do King's Casino em controlar a informação. Algures a meio do Dia 2, com a zona de torneio repleta de jogadores, cenas de violência foram registadas e gravadas para a posteridade.

Para quem não esteve pela zona de torneio, a confusão "começou" com uma thread no fórum 2+2. Segundo o OP NL_Soldier, o original do vídeo original já não se encontra online, atribuíndo a seguinte explicação ao uploader:

"I deleted the video with the little wrangling in Kings Casino. I deleted it voluntarily !!! Although the first request came from Kings Casino, please delete it. But everyone who knows me knows that I will not be told anything (Kings Casino wanted to do that before. My answer was "No" -> result I was blacklisted). But I personally have to say that I love poker very much. But in public, poker is put in the dirty corner. This video only reinforces it. It always happens where a lot of people meet that some idiots destroy the events with such things.
I personally can say that in the European casino it is rather the exception. I always felt safe in the Kings Casino or in other European casinos. Poker is a sport that we should respect."

A acreditar no dono do vídeo, o King's Casino fez pressão máxima para tentar remover o vídeo da internet, pressão que teve sucesso, apesar do ponto de vista apresentado acima. A atitude da organização parece ingénua quanto ao mais recente ditado popular: "uma vez na internet, para sempre na internet".

No meio do pânico, cadeiras no ar, fichas a voar e alguns "STOP, STOP" entre as muitas vozes, não é possível compreender o que originou a enorme confusão, mas as nossas fontes apontam que as situações de tensão frequentes nas mesas de poker têm tendência para resvalar para manifestações físicas neste casino do leste da Europa. Ainda assim, não temos informação de um sucedido com este volume.

Um user que comentou na thread mencionada dá a perspectiva de quem não estava lá mas que vai lá de quando em vez:

"Well, for Kings this is a major fight.
I go there every now and then and the worst I've seen is someone shove in their chips in disgust getting busted after a string of bad beats so that it knocked some other players' stacks over...and we had to recreate everyone's stack sizes (which fortunately didn't take long and we didn't even have to go get the camera feed. It being a 100-ish Euro buy-in tournament no none cared if it was off a bit, anyhow)" antialias

Mas, umas respostas abaixo, há a intervenção de um user que aponta ter estado no local, à hora "certa", a um metro (já agora, zero máscaras e distância social neste MTT):

"I've been playing at Kings Casino for 10 years. I was in the casino at that time. This incident is a shame for the casino and a reflection of the poker players there. It is not an isolated case. I've seen poker tables smashed and overturned in this casino in the past. Players are also insulted by others and often you experience aggressive behavior. The floor managers rule rarely and there are hardly any warnings.

Specifically about this incident:

I was sitting at the next table (1 meter) away. As if out of nowhere, very suddenly within 2 seconds a player got up and hit his fist on another players head five times or more. Never seen something. Very aggressive. The blood is spattered all over the table. The victim fell over and the offender continued to hit him. The victim had a hole in his head. Furthermore, 4 other players have fought with each other. After that, the security service arrested the offender. The victim is immediately hospitalized with major injuries.

The scene of the video shows only the last few seconds of the incident.

I am shocked by the way the casino communicates. This incident was not officially addressed. Only the players in the tournament room were expelled. There was no information, excuses, or anything about the victim's health. There was also no comment on what they done with the offender.

O post acima descreve o incidente como "não é um caso isolado. Eu já vi mesas de poker esmagadas e viradas neste casino no passado." e aponta falhas à organização apontando ausência de explicação e falta de informação sobre a saúde da vítima.

Como mencionamos acima, o vencedor deste torneio conquistou também uma entrada para o World Series Of Poker Europe Main Event, agendado para 16 de Outubro de 2020, festival que se parece cada vez mais a primeira cobaia das maiores organizações de poker ao vivo.
